Danny was born in Prince George, Va. and raised in Chesterfield County. At the age of 16, he joined Phillips Volunteer Fire Department, and became certified as a Firefighter and EMT. In the early 90s, he realized that EMS was his real calling, and joined a volunteer rescue squad in Chesterfield, later on making the transition to a career.
He had often wondered what it would be like to venture below the water’s surface, but wasn’t sure it was for him. After hearing from a friend just how fun and exciting scuba diving was, he and his wife decided to take an Open Water course. From that moment, he was hooked.
Danny has recently completed the Master Diver certification and is working toward becoming a Dive Master.
When not in the water, you can find Danny woodworking and building projects. A few recent dive trips to the Bahamas led him to designing and building saltwater aquarium systems, bringing the beauty of the deep right into his living room.
